Hon. Anifa Kawooya Bangirana attends the Future of Digital Countries Summit in Cairo

On 28th April, 2025, the State Minister of Health in charge of General Duties, Hon. Anifa Kawooya Bangirana arrived in Cairo to participate in the Future of Digital Countries Summit under the theme, "the Arch of Digital". The Summit will discuss ways of promoting groundbreaking research, driving collaboration and accelerating digital transformation in Africa and beyond.

The Minister held meetings with Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt's Minister of Communication and Information Technology, and Dr. Hosam Sharaf CEO of Lotus medical solutions. She will also hold follow-up meetings to establish a way forward regarding proposed cooperation with the International Medical Center.

She was accompanied by Dr. Joseph Okware, the Director/Governance and Regulations - Ministry of Health, Ms. Edith Nabireeba  and Ms. Christine Tabingwa, Administrative Attaché' at the Embassy in Cairo.
